funny thing was that a digital clock is always the very first thing I need after I move.

I moved a lot of times during my twenties. I would usually end up buying a new digital clock at the all-night drugstore the day of the move. I had to do that because I never seemed to have the foresight to pack it in a reasonable place.

I still have a digital clock in my bedroom. It is equipped with an alarm, but I don’t think I’ve needed it in several years. My kids have a digital clock in their bedroom to wake them up for school.

I don’t have to set my digital clock to get them ready or to feed them breakfast during the school year. My kids are old enough to dress themselves and walk to school. The school that they attend feeds every kid in the school free breakfast in their classrooms.

I can’t really sleep without a digital clock in my room, even though I do not use it for its alarm capabilities. I just have some burning need to know what time it is about every hour or so all night long. I’ve always been like this.

My son is pretty good with his digital clock. He’s only overslept three times as a result of either not setting it or ignoring it. He was pretty upset each of those times. He hates to be late. My daughter could actually care less if she is late.
